A burst of colour, creativity and excitement is coming to Scottburgh. Lightness Productions in partnership with the Blue Marlin Hotel, announces the highly anticipated South Coast Children Festival a one-day celebration designed to captivate young minds and strengthen family connections.

From dazzling entertainment to hands-on learning experiences, this event offers something for every child and their grown-up. A carefully curated blend of fun and education, the festival will transform the scenic grounds of the Blue Marlin Hotel into a vibrant wonderland, filled with themed activity zones, character appearances and joyful performances.

Kids can explore an exciting lineup of attractions, including a kids’ fashion show, mini modelling contest, character shows, movie theatre, disco, a dinosaur show and the energetic Fun X Kids area. Beloved characters like Spiderman and Sharkie will light up the stage and the day will be hosted by none other than Stacey & J Sbu from East Coast Radio.

While the entertainment takes centre stage, the heart of the festival beats with purpose,  to support children’s well-being emotionally, mentally and physically while deepening the parent-child bond through meaningful, shared experiences.

“We are proud to support events like the South Coast Children Festival that align with our vision of promoting inclusive tourism and enriching family experiences,” says Dr. Vusumuzi Sibiya, CEO of the South Coast Tourism & Investment Enterprise (SCTIE). “This festival not only boosts local tourism and economic activity but also fosters environments where children can thrive emotionally, physically and creatively.”

The festival will take place on Saturday, 7 June 2025, from 11h00 to 17h00 at the Blue Marlin Hotel in Scottburgh.

Tickets are R250 per person, which includes full access to all games and activities. Tickets can be purchased directly at the Blue Marlin Hotel, through Lightness Productions (083 743 3435) or online via Quicket.
